Tap! iOS magazine special offer-o-tron
I spent a fair chunk of October working on content for Tap!, the iPhone and iPad magazine, on the stands later this month. The magazine’s official Twitter feed just announced that it’s doing a one-off special offer of three issues for a fiver, for anyone who subscribes before Friday.
From what I’ve seen of the mag so far, it’s going to be all kinds of fab, and so anyone with an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad would be a banana to not take advantage of the offer.
Worth noting it’s not QUITE as nice as that. You are signing a direct debit that if you fail to cancel it will immediately begin sucking £12 every 3 issues out of your account as soon as issue 4 happens.
So sign up for this, I did, but stick a note in your diary eh in case it all goes a bit “Total PC Gaming” on us.
Well, sure about the £12 suckage, but that’s the case with every similar offer from every other publisher in the UK and beyond. As for doing a Total PC Gaming, I’ve no idea if that’ll be the case (I sure hope not); however, Future’s subs policy in such scenarios is to shift you to another title or offer you a full refund.
By doing a TPCG I didn’t mean closing so much as “Totally going to shit 6 months in”
Ah. Given who’s involved in the mag and what’s invested in it, I can’t see that happening, frankly. The editor’s crazy hard-working and a damn good writer, for a start. And I’ve done my best to make the games section fun and interesting. The format’s also a little different to most mags, so it’ll hopefully be more relevant than most other publications.
